Web Design Portfolio
The Art of Jason R. Talley
2007 / http://www.jasonrtalley.com
It seems to be a theme of artists that I deal with to want super simple and clean websites. Such is the case with Jason Talley's website which is a wonderful digital portfolio of his illustration and painting. I can't really say much about him because the work speaks for itself. The web site is merely a vehicle to show his work. Content should always take precedence over design. If your site has nothing useful on it, what's the point?

BWISH Studios
2006-2007 / http://www.bwish.com
BWISH Studios is my main website. A constantly updated collection of art, films, comics, and other fun things from myself a select few friends/collaborators. As of the summer of 2007, BWISH has become focused on comic production. The current design takes a Web 2.0 approach, keeping it very simple and clean, allowing the content to of the site to take priority.

The Art of Justin B. Evans
2006-2007 / http://www.JustinBEvans.com/
This is the site you're looking at this very moment! An extremely simple, light and clean design meant to showcase my art on an online portfolio. One of the goals for this site was to not use blue at all, since I seem to fall back on blue as a major color choice for web design.

The Second Antarctic Journeys
2007 / http://mcquotables.blogspot.com/
This is a blog design I did for a good friend of mine, Michael C. Chen. It's a simple blog just for daily musings, but all the available Blogger templates were downright homely. I gave it a coat of fresh paint to make it a little prettier. Nothing too spectacular here, just something simple for a blog that wouldn't use up too much bandwidth. The image headers are random though.

Lay Down Your Burdens
2007 / http://lay-down-your-burdens.blogspot.com/
More or less exactly the same template I created and used in http://mcquotables.blogspot.com/, Mike liked it so much he wanted the same layout for another blog, a Battle Star Galactica themed blog. So it's basically everything "The Second Antarctic Journeys" but with a palette swap.

Quotables
2006 / http://quotables.bwish.com/
Quotables! A sometimes weekly updated webcomic from Michael C. Chen, part of BWISH Studios. Again, no need for an elaborate and graphic design so a clean and easy to navigate design is sufficient.

Salma Hussain
2006-2007 / http://www.SalmaHussain.com/
Based on a design by Salma Hussain, this site's one purpose is to view Salma's character portfolio online and provide a way to contact/email her. The design Salma had in mind was pretty clear so I pretty much did everything word for word according to her vision, adding suggestions along the way.

Scribbles and Such
2006-2007 / http://trashthatisbrown.blogspot.com/
As a birthday present for my friend Salma, I decided to give her blog a shiney makeover! Not only was it a gift she enjoyed, but it allowed me to add something new to my portfolio! Keeping with a general "Web 2.0 blog style", I kept things round and shiney. The header displays a random image on each load.

Melissa Ichiuji
2005-2007 / http://www.MelissaIchiuji.com/
2007 Version
MelissaIchiuji.com received a redesign in time for her show at Irvine Contemporary in January of 2007. Melissa wanted to keep the very simple and clean theme, but with some color. The site has turned to be more of an online portfolio for her sculpture while the previous version was designed around her performance work.
2005-2006 Version
This site was designed by Melissa Ichiuji and was created by myself. I continue to maintain it whenever she wants/needs an update to it. This site is basically Melissa's online portfolio and record of her performance pieces. The site was original created to document her 36 hour non-performance piece titled "S T R I P P ED" and updated with live photos of the event. Now it houses an archive of past performances and other art works.

WSSC Control Center Intranet Home Page
2000-2006 / n/a (Intranet site)
This is an intranet site I've created and maintained from 2000 till 2006 at WSSC. Technically I wasn't exactly working on a server so many options weren't available to me directly, for example PHP, etc. While some Cold Fusion is used throughout the site, I was never allowed in direct contact with the server so I had to make due and use some older design practices.. The site uses frames to display the main navigation, a submenu that changes with each of the main navigation links, and a main content window. The site was designed for the Control Center operators and contains thousands of photos of various WSSC facilities, operation manuals, searchable phone number directories, access to real time weather maps, links to Access database information, and much more.
Due to the fact that this is an intranet site I cannot link to it so I've included the following collection of screenshots (Censored of course to protect sensitive data).
The first image was how the site looked before I started working on it. Followed by various evolutions of the site to the present:

The following are just some screenshots of other parts of the site, including examples of pages using cold fusion:
